Are we supposed to be hungry for iron or not?
To iron, or not to iron: that is the question:

Actually no question was asked ..
"increased non-protein-bound iron"
Sounds like iron supplementation is required .. here ..
Is that what you are saying .. ?
Studies show targeting oxidation with iron chelators / binders .. IE:
flavonoids and / or deferoxamine can relieve encephalopathy in animal
models.
The use of iron targeting drugs are being touted for the treatment of
other neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS , MS , Alzheimer's and
Parkinson's.
Soooo .. the **evidence** as opposed to .. **question** .. is .. "iron
may be involved in brain damage" ..
Now if you want to destroy flavonoids in your food what you do is you
have a high iron meal and the iron destroys your flavonoids.
Now if flavonoids are what you have discerned is what is used to TREAT
neurodegeneration then your **question** would be answered with .. no
iron .. because iron destroys flavonoids but if you have NOT
**understood** flavonoids 'may' be required .. then .. the answer ..
you have to figure out yourself.
No .. convincing will make you believe otherwise ..
Who loves ya.
