Alternate HIV theories

The One True Zhen Jue - 21 Mar 2008 23:36 GMT
In the past week, the pastor for a presidential candidate for
president claimed that the US Government created HIV, the AIDS virus.
He further added that it did so as an act of genocide against "people
of color".

The conventional wisdom is that HIV is a virus that existed long
before humans.  Some folks are unwilling to accept that.  Some don't
even accept that HIV exists.  For those who do not accept the
conventional wisdom, but believe it exists, what do you think about:

1. The origin of HIV

2. The notion that it is a weapon

3. Its efficacy as a biological weapon

4. The source of the technology required to manufacture such a retro-
virus

5. How to treat or cure HIV

For those who accept the conventional wisdom, what do you think of
people who say OR believe that HIV is man-made?

Do you think that they believe it or are using it to inflame the
passions of the angry & credulous?

Do you think that the US government had the technology to create such
a virus back in the 70's or 80's?

Do you think the US governement currently has the technology to create
such a virus?

Do you think the US governement currently has the technology to cure
HIV?

Nothing really would surprise me, or not surprise me in this regard.
But then I think the anthrax cases around the nation which targeted
certain news media, congressmen, and postal workers were fairly
obviously domestic terrorist originated.  Especially once they tracked
the strain to one of our own military facilities, and the person of
interest associated with the events was associated with that
facility.

Most of the anthrax incident targets were considered "liberal" - not
the "conservatives" you would have thought foreign terrorists would
have been more interested in.

Nope - I look at the anthrax attacks as being an effort to further
foment terrism scares in this country to justify much of what this
administration has managed to pull off in the name of homeland
security for the last 7 years.  Yet, very few politicians of either
party seem to be really committed to securing our border, or getting a
handle on illegal immigration.

And this country does have a history of experimenting on certain
segments of society.  We aren't that far removed from the Tuskegee
Studies, which withheld treatment of syphlis from black men.  Or the
testing of atomic bombs in the southwest US, etc.

I'm not certain HIV is man made - but I wouldn't totally discount that
it has been manipulated in someway by scientists, and in the course of
their studies may have gotten out of their control!

I realize I'm a lay person - not a scientist!  Therefore, I'm only
left to ponder, not really know!

I don't think it is man made given its timeline. I will say if
I was modifying it to kill more people, I insert a gene for
the manufacture of testosterone to up the libido of the
infected and thus the spread of the disease more wildly.
And I'd program the virus to respond to a drug whom
my corporation could patent and market as a life long
treatment for it rich victims. The poor die.

Just call me John Lilly Wyeth ;-)
Wipe that Merck off your face this isn't funny.

Myrl, do you not see the difference in the abominable practice of
using unsuspecting people as guinea pigs VS genocide?
Do you think HIV has been anywhere nearly as effective as other forms
of genocide like in Rowanda or Nazi Germany?

At any rate, you've begged the question of whet

Well, it strikes me as odd how many people believe that it was made by
the US (20+ years ago) but they don't believe the moon landings were
real.  I appreciate your response.  I would ask if you to tell me if
you don't doubt your government is trying to commit genocide, why you
stay here and pay taxes in support of that effort.  I realize that you
haven't said that you *believe* it, but that you would not dismiss it
as science fiction, paranoid conspiracy, or an attempt to inflame
passions.

Bear in mind, the USA has several thousand nuclear warheads, something
that the genocidal a.sholes in Iran WOULD use, if they had them.
So, why do you stay with and support a government that you don't doubt
is going around its elbow to get to its thumb to commit genocide?

I think if God had wanted to "gift" or visit a virus on the sons of
Adam, he would have kick started the program a few millennia earlier.

But I fully understand about the "snake's voice" - there are a lot of
those around;-)

Uh, Myrl, I realize that I'm stepping outside of what is printed in
Genesis, but do you realize that viruses and bacteria predate humans
by more than a few millennia?  In other words, while I wouldn't call
them a "gift" or a punishment from God, they were here before we were.

Instead of guessing, why not watch the free video "deconstructing the
myth of AIDS" by Gary Null, available on Google Video for free.

AIDS should be called DIDS.  Drug Induced Deficiency Syndrome.
You may thank big pharma, the US gov., and the medical monopoly, and
let's not leave out your local prescription drug pusher, your MD.

I've seen it.  While it is much shorter than "Battlefield Earth", it
really isn't much better.

Well, since you don't believe in communicable disease, your comments
are as superfluous as they are supercilious.

Here's a website that would be a good starting point for someone with
your, um, "background" in chemistry.

Dr Cee - If you think AIDS is a drug induced deficiency syndrome, why
do you think it is so prevalent in parts of Africa, which are almost
too poor to have access to drugs?

Hey, space is no barrier when it travels in TIME back to
the early days of the "gay plague" when there weren't any
drugs being used for it and in fact when it wasn't even
recognized.  The drug effects must have jumped back from
later, don't you see?

I've been told by several people that AZT causes AIDS. The evidence is
correlation - almost everyone who has ever taken AZT has also had
AIDS. When I ask if splints cause fractures and sutures cause knife
wounds they say I am diverting the conversation.

And they let these people vote and drive cars.

You are right in that the Africans cannot afford pharmaceutical drugs
let alone the recreactional dugs of AIDS in the US.

However, you fail to admit and recognize that AIDS in Africa has four
criteria and none of those are that the intended victim be HIV
positive ( they cannot afford the tests either).    All you have to be
is malnurished and sick.

Your tribe will then shun you and you will die.  If you can get the
anti-retroviral drugs for free, then you will die.  Either way your
goose is cooked.

Why do you think the leader of South Africa has refused to allow the
UN and the WHO to continue to poison and kill the African people with
their drugs?
He knows.  You do not or else you choose to ignore the truth and not
admit it.

Anyone who makes as many misspellings as you do, Cee, is in a poor
position to criticize.  Let's consider your previous posting, in which
you brilliantly spelled "appetite" as "appatite."

I thought that "no nothing Null" was quite clever, but I didn't expect
the language deficient to pick it up.

The U.S. government never could have created such a virus thirty years
ago and probably still couldn't today.  The virus eludes the best
attempts by today's scientists to eradicate it, and it seems unlikely
that better science existed decades ago that would have allowed the
creation of a synthetic genome that is more sophisticated that the
human immune system.

And while we're on the subject of CIA/HIV conspiracy theories, I seem
to remember that the gay activists accused Ronald Reagan of inventing
AIDS to kill gays and blacks.  Since HIV has an incubation time of
several years and since the first U.S. cases were reported in October
1981, that means the virus was introduced sometime in the late 1970s
- during Jimmy Carter's presidency.  I suppose the plot involves
senile Ronnie whipping up the virus in the Oval Office sometime in
Spring of 1981, then using the CIA's secret time machine to transport
the plague back to 1977 so that Jimmy Carter could be blamed.
