Mark Thorson is a promoter of the "anything but the chemicals" lies
google bombed throughout the internet by this team ...

Women poisoned by their failed breast implants don't need to smell the
chemicals in order to be harmed by them. Pure & utter Snake-oil
(chemical industry) propaganda:

Half of the time, people can no longer smell anything---because of the
ability of chemicals to deaden their sense of smell over a period of
time.   Many of the solvents being used have also been used in
surgery.  I remember in the 70's I was having hand surgery, and the
doctor asked me if I smoked or not, and I said "yes, why?"  He said it
had a bearing on what solvent they could use to put me under for the
surgery.  It was only in later years after working with and around
1,1,1 Trich and Perchlorethane, n-Hexane that people that worked in
around these solvents could not smoke or drink for 72 hours in and
around their exposures.  In doing research I made the discovery that
solvents had been used for anesthesiology in the surgical
environment.

If you go to the webiste for the Atlantic Legal Foundation, a public
interest law group, they denounce MCS as a legitimate diagnoses and
connect the dots---you will find that Elizabeth Whelan, the top dog in
ACSH, whose husband is a director on the board at Atlantic Legal
Foundation, from ACSH you can connect the dots to Quackwatch, whose
"scientific advisors" have written publications to discredit MCS and
those physicians who help people with chemical sensitivities.  You
will find doctors in ACSH that have found their place in the Worker's
Compensation "independent medical examiners"
for insurance companies.

It's a pretty sad world that we live in.....when individuals and
industries and associations do not care enough to make sure that
individuals harmed by chemicals get the best medical care that they
deserve.
