If they want to be a Church, they must behave like a Church - else they
are a 'Scientology' company, of course
29 January 2008
If they want to be a Church, they must - even though they are as little
a church as they are a mosque - behave as they claim to be:
All their doctrines and materials must be freely available and
accessible to anyone, on the Internet. (This is not to be construed as
me endorsing any of their doctrines and materials, WHICH I AM NOT at
all, and which - their materials and doctrines - I know very thoroughly
to be ENTIRELY and INTENTIONALLY false in its data and intention at its
origin or source.)
Counseling and courses must be given entirely for free, or at minimum
costs for materials, printed books etc., only. (This is not to be
construed as me endorsing any of their courses or counseling, WHICH I AM
NOT at all.)
If they want to do some educational activity for fees, then that makes
them a school, not a Church, NO MATTER WHAT THEIR DOCTRINE IS. (This
is not to be construed as me endorsing any of their courses or their
counseling, WHICH I AM NOT at all.)
If they want to do some counseling activity for fees, then that makes
them a counseling firm, or a psychotherapy practice or office. (This is
not to be construed as me endorsing any of their courses or counseling,
WHICH I AM NOT at all.)
If they want to make money by promoting and then selling books, and
- based on the false promises and the false data therein -
if they want to then promote, and sell, courses and psychotherapy
- which is what they do -
then they are simply a business, NO MATTER HOW THEY CAMOUFLAGE IT.
More simple an answer you can hardly give them, I would think.

I was involved with the Cult of $cientology for many years. It did me some
good, but much harm as well, especially financially.
Dianetics, the psychotheraputic technique they monopolize, is one of the few
things that is good about Scientology.
Once they have you hooked on it however, - watch out! They'll take
psychological control of you and scam you out of every cent you have if you
let them. They'll also pressure you to join their "sea org", where you are
likely to be abused and kept in near-slavery. Don't expect to be treated
like one of their PR-valuable celebrities in this "church"! I was treated
badly at times, and I saw far worse done to people, including people I had
brought in because I believed it would do them good.
Read the books and go to the websites they try to discourage you from
seeing - they call them "entheta" - but what are they afraid that you'll
find out about?
Open your mind to both sides of the story, before they take control of your
mind and blind you. They are not above blackmailing you with the personal
information you "confess" during auditing (counselling, with a lie-detector
meter). Everything you say is written down or recorded. Do you know what the
"culling" of PC folders for "overts" is, and why it is done?
It is NOT a religion - unless you believe that the brilliant sci-fi writer
turned con-man L. Ron Hubbard is God, as some fanatics do. The religion
angle was established by Hubbard for tax exemption and other legal and
financial reasons. They DO NOT believe in a God, Jesus Christ, or any Deity.
A belief in the soul ("thetan") alone does not establish a religion. And
what do they worship, aside from money and Hubbard?
