Absolute and utter chemical industry / ACSH.org / Quackwatch /
Healthfraud / Snake-oil propaganda.

This goes along with Snake Oil Stephen Barrett's rants that it's
"anything but the chemicals."

He has refused to admit that the chemical industry has funded his
very well publicized and inaccurate rantings.

I wonder what the media is going to say about this newsgroup?
I wouldn't be surprised if Tim Bolen, being the way he is, and after
reading that post he wrote if he hasn't called in 60 Minutes to read
this
newsgroup!

Hey Jan, your AOL address isn't showing, you've got a sbcglobal one
showing.....:>)   Are you the same Jan Drew as the AOL Jan Drew is
this is a fake one???

So any time you would like to apologise to me about Jan changing from
AOL to another email address will be fine.

I'll tell you what, I will apologize AFTER you apologize to Jan, for
even bringing
up the stupid fact in the first place.  It makes absolutely no
difference to anyone here.

The why does Jan bring it up all the time. I was simply responding to
her hypocrisy.

You know Peter...sometimes you almost come across as "nice."  There
are other times, you come across as a former troubled youth, who has
never
made a name for himself, until now, you think you are someone
special.   You might
find if you treated people a little better than you do, that it is
very possible that others
might treat you in the matter that they wish to be treated.

It kind of worries me Peter, that for all of the number of people that
protest, as Probert
refers to it as "fringe" treatments, in this newsgroup and other
places as hard as some
involved in it do, that why you would even put yourself in such a bad
spot, is it because
you believe the story teller or you believe the story??  That's why I
use the best of
both worlds; and use common sense when it comes to making those
choices to use
either one of the options available to me.  I do not know want to be
like my friends,
who take so many pills during a day that it looks like they are
swallowing more pills
than they are intaking food.  When I ask some of them what the doctor
is doing to
correct the problem besides pushing pills on them, they cannot answer
the question.
Some of them are literally addicted to pain pills because they have
taken them for
so long and without them they cannot function.    Instead of getting
to the root of the
problem, and finding out what really is causing the pain, and coming
up with a game
plan, in that 15 minutes the doctor has to spend with them, they just
prescribe drugs.
You want to know why people are turning to alternative health care???
They want
answers to their problems, and correction of their problems---they
don't want a new
drug.  They want to feel better, without having to rely on even more
drugs.

My question to you is, "do you want to continue to be part of the
problem, or part of the solution?"
Is it important for you to be part of a gang, or be an individual
thinker?  Are the stories you've
been told about alternative healthcare and how "evil" it is, and how
harmful it is, and that the
people that practice it, are doing, "voodoo medicine," so powerful
that you actually believe them, or
are the story tellers so convincing that you believe every word that
they tell you just because of who
they think they are?

I can only imagine how tough it is for someone like you to see the
other side of the coin.  I once only
saw the conventional side; that was until I got sick, and the
conventional side had no answers for me,
and I had no choice but to step out of the box and discover what the
other side could do for me, that's
why now I use the best of both worlds.

You want Jan to treat you better, then you lead by example.  You want
Ilena to treat you better, then you
lead by example. You want me to treat you better, then you lead by
example.  You want to hang out with
people that believe they have the right to control your life, and the
lives of others?  Good for you, but
please respect that there are people that were  born free, and us
altie types were born free.....you want
respect; respect is earned......lead by example.

You in fact are the one who owes me three apologies.

#1.  For saying I no longer had an AOL email.

#2. For saying Then why does Jan bring it up all the time.

#3. I was simply responding to
her hypocrisy.

I'm sorry that you still have an AOL email.

I'm sorry that you bring up people using different email addresses all
the time.

I'm sorry that I have to respond to your hypocrisy.

Even a decade long writers strike won't make this newgroup compelling
viewing.

I was walking thorough the canyons of Manhattan a few months ago and ran
into Mike Wallace. My son spotted him and we walked over. My son had a
pleasant conversation with Mike, who was impressed that he has a
teenager for a regular watcher.

I should have asked him if he would do an article on abusive morons on
Usenet.

Tim would have been featured.

Anecdotes are not facts. They are, at best interesting stories. At
worst, outright lies.
