Nasal discharge hours after neti pot use?

Hi there,

Anyone ever had the experience where, several hours after nasal
irrigation, saline suddenly comes out of your nose without warning?  I
didn't think there was anyplace in the sinuses where the nasal wash
could hide for that long but it's happened a couple times.

Just curious,
Thanks

I have heard of it!

Although not several hours, there was a delay of a few minutes!  A
friend of mine, who has suffered sinus infections for years, got the
neti pot idea from watching Dr. Oz on the Oprah show!  She swears by
it, and seems to have experienced some relief from it's use.

She described one of her first sessions with the pot, where she could
feel the saline traveling deeper into the sinus cavity (hopefully
cleaning it out), and then a delay of a few minutes when it finally
dripped out her nose!

That may not have been a bad thing!

I have had that happen on a "delayed reaction" basis for as long as
about 30-45 minutes.

When I started taking an herbal supplement containing andrographis and
eleuthero (Kan Jang) my use of the Neti Pot dropped, and the "place"
where the liquid was hiding went away so that all Neti pot rinses came
out immediately, as they should.
