From Organic Bytes:

Most Flu Vaccines Contain Mercury

Flu season is right around the corner. Although the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention recommends that almost everyone, including pregnant
women, get flu vaccinations, few of the 130 million people receiving this
vaccination each year realize that most flu shots contain harmful dosages of
mercury.

About 80% of all flu shots distributed in the United States contain a
mercury-based preservative called thimerosal. According to health officials,
people getting flu-shots need to request a thimerosal-free vaccination.
These vaccines cost roughly $4 more to manufacture and distribute.

Quick Related Quote & Facts:

Hypodermic needleQuote: "There's no conclusive scientific evidence that the
amount of mercury one might get from a flu shot is linked with any
neurological development outcome that's negative." - Jeanne Santoli, deputy
director of immunization services division for the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention

Fact: A typical flu shot contains 50,000 parts per billion of mercury.

Fact: The EPA classifies a liquid with 200 parts per billion of mercury as
hazardous waste.

Fact: The legal "safe" limit for mercury in drinking water is 2 parts per
billion

Fact: For each flu-shot, a 22-pound baby gets more than 25 times the amount
of mercury considered safe. And doctors are recommending that many babies
and children get two flu shots this season.

Fact: A material safety data sheet from Eli Lilly and Co., a former producer
of flu vaccines, says exposure to thimerosal may include "fetal changes,
decreased offspring survival and lung tissue changes. Exposure in utero and
in utero and in children may cause mild to severe mental retardation and
mild to severe motor coordination impairment."

Thanks you for reminding wise people to get their shots, Jan. Good
work.

Flu season is over where I live, but could you give me a reminder in,
say, April next year. Thanks.

As said previously in response to this material, I don't really care very
much whether poeple have flu vaccines or not, but I cannot stand these
spurious arguments.      EPA standards have to be set very low for
industrial waste because it can be produced in huge amounts and end up in
drinking water.

> Fact: The legal "safe" limit for mercury in drinking water is 2 parts per

Has to be set low and with a very large margin of safety because three
litres or more of water can be consumed *every day* by an adult on top of
variable exposure to mercury as air pollution and fish consumption and
dental exposure.

Suddenly standards for drinking water with a large margin of safety has
become THE  amount considered safe for a very different kind of exposure.

Unlikely to be referring to the amounts contained in vaccines.

How's this?
Older people ( past 40) who have flu shot regularly (every year) for five or
more years have a higher probability of "contracting" Alzheimer's.

What isn't said is what other of hundreds of commonalities do they have.

What we need is at least five, maybe ten more threads about flu shots.

Oh, I know research on how many flu shots the OPs have had as a child.

The only person making that claim is Fudenberg, and he never produced
any evidence to support it.

What does the quote from Goethe have to do with Haley's oft-repeated
nonsense?  John seems to think that if you repeat gibberish enough
times, it will magically become true.
