Many ridiculous posts have been based upon lies regarding the size &
profitability of the pharmaceutical industry.  Some remoreseless liars
have suggested that the Pharmaceutical industry accounts for 90% of
the sales and/or profits of the entire Fortune 500!

I've cited the top 35 from the newest, 2006 listing and included the
link to the entire list.  Why did I choose the top 35?  Its because
NONE of them are pharmaceutical companies.  # 36, Johnson & Johnson is
the top performer in the pharmacy industry.  Not all of their products
are pharmaceutical, they sell a wide range of vitamin and mineral
supplements.  A link to the top performing Pharmaceutical companies
follows the top 35 listing.  Note that only 9 of them made the fortune
500 at all!

The Blessed Truth:

Nothing new, for Andrew Kingoff.  Example:

First off, the list came from Fortune magazine.  They have properly
classified McKesson while you are just clutching at straws.
McKesson is a healthcare conglomerate.  Some of its business is in
pharmaceuticals, but it is not its core business.
I'm sure you knew that, if you bothered to read the link to what they
do.  They make vitamin & mineral supplements, too, just like Johnson &
Johnson.

/McKesson+HBOC%252C+Inc.+Launches++NutriStation%252C+A+Comprehensive+Program+of+
03-26-1999.html

"McKesson HBOC, Inc. Launches NutriStation, A Comprehensive Program of
Nutritional Products, Education, and Software for Independent
Pharmacies"

Now, just for kicks, what % of the Fortune 500's revenues do you think
are from the sales of pharmaceuticals?
Peterb thought it was over 90%!  I hope you realize that the figure is
very low, but I'm confident you'll overstate it by a wiiiiiiide
margin.

Prove me wrong, if you can!
