Hello,

My wife and I were on a raw food diet for one week. We lost approx 6
pounds each. Sunday we went out for pizza.

We have not eaten raw since then and we have gained every pound back plus
a couple. Is that just because we basically cleaned out our digestive
systems and now it's full again? I understand 1 week is not long for a
diet but I was very surprised at the scale. Eating raw food wasn't too
hard but I did miss the bbq brisket, pizza and other things.

I have tried the Atkins diet and my hip joints start to hurt. My wife did
ok with it though. She has bad knees, getting worse, and she quit because
I was afraid Atkins was making her knees worse.

I am just looking for any suggestions. BTW. I never planned on going
totally raw for life. Just to clear up some health issues like my weight.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I went on a raw food diet for 5 days and lost 5 pounds, my stomach was
flat.
Then I went out for pizza also.........those carbs made my stomach
bloated.
I learned that I liked the raw foods! My strawberry, banana and orange
juice smoothy
was yummy. When i want something sweet now I make that, I also found
that
if i peel and slice my fruit and put in the frige. i will be more
prone to eat it then
not. So now I keep peeled and sliced fruit in the refrigerator. Those
are just some of
the things i have learned when I went on my one week cleanse.
