Just wondering whether you had any good stories of a totally sleepless
night! A 'worst hotel night's (non)-sleep' experience on holiday, some
unusual nocturnal habits, noisy neighbours or an all-night job with
some strange goings-on.

My brother won £500 on a fruit machine at a service station and it
came
up with 'the manager owes you £500', he went to find the manager but
he wasn't there until 7am the next morning! So he waited all night for
him, and got the money in the end!!!

Interesting thread - I happened upon this group and this caught my
eye.

I knew I was in for it - we were anchored one fairly windy night in a
not
so protected cove, and the wave motion got the wires in the mast
to clanging.
We had turned in about 8 pm, so I knew it would be a very long night.
In frustration, I moved to the cockpit, but got cold too soon.
I tried stuffing my ears but that didn't work.  Thinking back, I
should have resorted to a stiff drink or two, but was on some med
which precluded that.
I tried in vain not to check the time - never has a night passed so
slowly.
