Cause of Common Cold

Clue 1. Pure sodium chloride (salt) turns yellow when directly exposed
to sunlight.

Clue 2. Chlorine is yellowish or greenish.

Clue 3. Mucus in common cold is also yellowish or greenish.

Some digging reveals that primary nasal airway epithelial cells
exchang Ca2+ ions for Na+ ions and induce Cl- ions in nasal secretion
i.e mucus.

So it is possible that common cold is result of abnormal functioning
of nasal and bronchitis epithelial cells. Common cold may not be any
viral infection at all.

the above article concerns cystic fibrosis...not the "common cold"

there is no suggestion that there is a correlation

It's equally possible it's caused by demonic possession. Don't you know
that a good exorcism will cure your cold in a week, where normally it
takes seven days to go away?
