EXCERPT: Breasts Implants Belong in Quackery Museum
Implanting bags of saline or silicone into womens bodies, or breast
implants as theyre know, are making a comeback despite a lack of
credible scientific evidence to show their short- or long-term safety.
Further, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which declared a
moratorium on breast implants in 1992, is now considering lifting all
restrictions. These devices--largely a product of intense PR and media
stereotypes--are becoming mainstream when surely they belong in the
"Museum of Questionable Medical Devices in the U.S."

Dr. Mercola's Comment:
Some of the sickest women I have seen were suffering from a
silicone-implant-induced immune dysfunction. Breast implants are
clearly very dangerous, as studies have shown that nearly all of them
invariably rupture or leak. Silicone from implants is a complex
chemical that can have very significant and devastating consequences
on the immune system.

Mercola is one of the worst quacks on the Internet. His store site is full
of quack items. He preaches against many things, including vaccination and
microwave ovens. His news letter is full of the usual alternative stuff.

If you look closely, you will see that Mercola will sell anything
alternative, even though the philosophy behind it contradicts that of
another product he sells. Sort of like going into a Kosher dairy
restaurant and eating a cheeseburger.
