Elavil Side Effects
"Gastrointestinal: Rarely hepatitis (including altered liver function and
jaundice); nausea; epigastric distress; vomiting; anorexia; stomatitis;
peculiar taste; diarrhea; parotid swelling; black tongue."

Since Jan seems to think that anorexia is a disease when it is a side effect
of a drug, then she is at risk for anorexia because she used to take
Elavil®.

Feeling hungry, Jan?

Jan appears to be suffering from anorexia of the mind--perhaps she
thinks that if she learns any more than was hammered into her in
primary school, her head will explode. It would explain a lot...

Bad memory, Richey?

I haven't taken Elavil for a long time.

Wasamatter?

Still stewing cause you LIED?

Methinks..you are in the wrong newsgroups.

Sci.med is the proper place to get technical.

This IS misc.health.alternative.

Best you read the charter and reveiw it.

See below.

I'll take Mayo Clinic's WORD over yours any day.

FACT:

Although anorexia (an-oe-REK-see-uh) centers around food, the **disease***
isn't solely about food. Anorexia is also a way to try to cope with
emotional problems, perfectionism and a desire for control. People with
anorexia often equate their self-worth with how thin they are.

Anorexia, *technically* called anorexia nervosa.

Your posting of the anti-ADHD medication news article was technical. Your
insistence that anorexia nervosa is a side effect of those medications is
technical. I responded in kind.

Nothing in the Mayo Clinic's site disagrees with anything I've said. Where's
the lie?

No, no, I did NOT insist that anorexia *nervosa* was a side effect!
Neither DID the news article.

Now...are you finished.. LYING???

You insisted that ADHD medications cause anorexia, the DISEASE, as a side
effect. The only DISEASE called "anorexia" is anorexia nervosa. I pointed
out that ADHD medications cause only anorexia, the SYMPTOM, and that's when
you launched into your lie that I do not know what the word means.

By the way, have you noticed that NONE of your friends here, not even Ilena,
or PeterB, or that idiot Wholeflaffers, are supporting you on this one?
That's because even they know you are wrong this time. Every time you post
here on the subject of anorexia, you make yourself look more foolish.

You claim to know what "anorexia" means. Please tell us what YOU believe it
means, and why anorexia as a side effect of ADHD medications is bad.

And it would be nice to know, if she is now claiming she meant anorexia
rather than anorexia nervosa, why she is still claiming that a symptom
everyone suffers from after a large meal is a "disease".

I don't suppose it would be *nice* if Rich could prove his LYING facts?

Nah......

*Fact: There are at least four James Drews in Bloomington, IN.*

It would certainly be nice if Jan could provide an example of a "lying
fact" (an oxymoron), rather than examples of Rich explaining to her the
difference between anorexia nervosa the disease, and anorexia the
symptom.

And indeed if she responded to the part she rather dishonestly snipped:

"And it would be nice to know, if she is now claiming she meant
anorexia
rather than anorexia nervosa, why she is still claiming that a symptom
everyone suffers from after a large meal is a "disease". "

And it would certainly be nice if Jan could make a dick of herself
(again) by explaining why she replaced my name with my handle, and put
quotation marks around it.

Oh, and if Jan is deciding to mine ancient and utterly irrelevant posts
(that have already been explained), perhaps she would like to explain
why she finds the subject of male breast cancer so terribly funny:

Yet more diversion.

Why are you dodging this? Do you know what it means, or not?
