acupuncture to treat anxiety

I've heard acupuncture can be used to treat anxiety and I wanted to
know how well it works compared to ssri medications? how often would
the treatments need to be done?

considering that acupuncture has no rational basis or theory, and is
thus more or less a psychological band-aid, and since anxiety is
psycho-somatic, in many, if not all cases, it should work, or at least
do minimal harm.
