Topic:  ADHD  cure?

I saw a TV info-commerical about changing your child's behavior.    The
program is called  "Total Transformation Program"  .      Their web site is:
www.thetotaltransformation.com  .

The host of the info-commerical says the program said TTP works with ADHD
kids.

From that site:
"Q: My child has a diagnosis (such as ADD, ADHD, ODD, bipolar
disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, etc.) Will it work for him?

A: Yes. Children who have been diagnosed with a neurological or
mental health disorder will absolutely benefit from the tools and
techniques in The Total Transformation program. Emotional and
behavioral disorders interfere with a child\x{2019}s self-management
and problem-solving skills. So The Total Transformation program is
especially helpful, and indeed necessary, for children who are
living with these conditions."

The disclaimer:
"TheTotalTransformation.com Disclaimer

The Total Transformation program provides parents with tools and
techniques designed to help them become more effective parents. It
is not designed to deal with children who have psychological
disorders or medical conditions, and the strategies it suggests will
not work for all types of children at all stages of development.
Various factors may affect whether the program is effective with a
particular child, including the child's age and developmental level,
the child's setting/environment, and the parent's skill in applying
the program.

Children who exhibit signs of dangerous behavior, to either
themselves or others, should be placed under the care of a qualified
professional. The Total Transformation program is not intended to
take the place of professional therapy, counseling or medical
treatment. Children currently under the supervision of a
professional should not discontinue such care without the consent of
this professional. This program is not intended as a substitute for
medication, and you should never discontinue a child's medication
without consulting a qualified professional.

All the statements in the Total Transformation Program [books,
materials, program, tapes, etc.] represent the opinions of its
author, James Lehman."

In other words it's a parenting method and while it may offer some
help in coping with ADHD behaviour and problems(a good parenting
style will make a difference, not saying this is one) it will *not*
cure ADHD.

Well, it was on TV, so it must be true, right, George?

These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct.
"I don't need someone to tell me that George W. Bush is a
deceitful, corrupt, clever and destructive man--that's pretty
clear on the face of it."  -- Garrison Keillor

OMG: I watched the X-files for years without knowing!

Did you expect him to say:

"Buy my program even though it does not work with AD/Dd kids?"

Saleshype is not a synonym for factual information.
