Greetings:

We are are an Ottawa based company that has developed a unique on line
audio book service.  Now this is not your typical audio book service
such as Audible or Amazon.  This system was developed so that it is
easily used by an 85 year old shut in, actually my mother, with little
or no computer experience.  It does not require physical access to any
of the book CDs nor does it require the user to manage any files on
the hard disk to make sure that they all ways have enough room for
required book files.

All books are stored on our central server, with the card catalog
accessible using any web browser. To play a book all you do is search
the card catalog, find the book you want then drag and drop its image
into the custom AudioPod player then select the play button. The
AudioPod player takes care of every thing else and the book starts to
play in seconds.

The book can be stopped at any time and the system will remember where
you were.  This allows you to have several books on the go at any one
time.

This is an ideal system for use by care givers so that the ones they
care about can again enjoy the pleasure of books.

A utility is also provided that enables the books segments to be
loaded on to portable MP3 players.
