The definition of HIV changed sometime ago. It now 'can lead to
AIDS,' rather "causes AIDS."

As I've mentioned before: everyone wants a piece of the HIV pie.
The advice to anyone in the UK who's threatened with having their arse
lock up in prison for passing on HIV is to plead not guilty.
The UK has no specific law for dealing with HIV transmission, so
prosecutors rely on ABH (Actual Bodily Harm) and GBH (Grievous Bodily
Harm) laws, which are inappropriate.
