Ryan White's story is quite sad.  He was born in 1971 with
haemophilia.  He allegedly contracted HIV through a blood transfusion
and was diagnosed with "full-blown AIDS," whatever that is, in 1984.

He seems to have been a media junkie who appeared on numerous TV shows
and with various celebrities to publicise HIVAIDS.

In July 1987 Ryan committed suicide when he started taking AZT.  Less
than three years later, in 1990, he died of a respiratory infection.

Ryan's life wasn't totally in vain.  In August 1990 The Ryan White
Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act was enacted to fund
the death process of 500,000 gay, black and poor people a year.

Well done Ryan!
