HIV is spreading among gay men in mini-epidemics, a new study has
found.
Data from more than 2,000 infected men in London showed distinct
clusters or "bursts" of the disease.
Researchers now believe targeted local campaigns in bars, nightclubs
and via the internet could be the most effective way of curbing the
spread of the disease by sexual contact.

Erm, perhaps someone should point out to these "researchers" that HIV
campaigns have been targeted at gays for the past 25 years. Gay bars
and clubs are awash with HIV leaflets, free condoms and lube. And
between notices advising punters of local police presence at local
toilets and beauty spots, the walls of these establishments are
covered with HIV posters.

Some years ago my wife gave me a puppy.
I supplied food, water and newspaper for him to sh.t on.
After months of trying to teach the pup to use the newspaper
and not chew on everything that fit into his mouth,
I took him outside and placed a bullet into his head.
Can I tell ya, that solved all the problems.............
No......I'm not saying shoot all the infected.
That just demonstrates that when an outside force has to step
in to correct behavior, it can and does tend to be harsh

Well, we don't have a maxi-epidemic (some call this pandemic). We
don't have an epidemic when we look into our countries statistic. It's
endemic in UK and DE. So finally I think it's clear - there must be a
mini-epidemic. And clusters - they are very first hints the disease might
be infectious, while still this might not be the case. I guess we are back
at the very beginning. Cool.

One might consider these people who ignore the
leaflets and such, as well as those who are among
the high suicide rates among homosexuals, and
especially teens, that i've read about, to be "highly
trained" individuals.
Society teaches homosexuals to hide and to hate
themselves. So those who practice unprotected
sex, in light of all efforts to "target" them with
campaigns that urge them not to, are merely and
even "sheepishly" following the orders of their
society.
Like the heteros who judge them, they define
themselves sharply by their sexual preference.
They cannot seem to see that they are so much
more than that!

Why weren't they already targeting gay bars and nightclubs? It is
already well-known that almost every person in such establishments
is HIV+, and the rest are seeking the virus deliberately.

I was walking down Castro Street the other night and saw a poster for
a support group for gay men who are HIV-. The condition is so
uncommon that gays who don't suffer from the disease need a support
group to help them cope with life.

That's just weird.

HIV gets its own 'Mini Me' epidemics. :)

A worrying new trend in the spread of HIV that could lead to a series
of 'mini-epidemics' has been revealed in research carried out by
University of Edinburgh scientists.
The study, which involved more than 2000 HIV-infected gay men, set out
to determine how the HIV virus can evolve over time
----- End Quote -----
Personally, I find the HIV vaccine that INCREASES the 'risk' of
getting HIV and the killer medicine given to the infected to 'treat'
the 'condition' worrying.
Oh well, back to the drawing board. Now we have Mini HIV. :)
Why choose to limit the research to gay men? Perhaps they found it
difficult to find any straight men who were HIV+. But, of course, HIV
isn't a gay thing, is it?
