Thanks, I appreciate your concern. Ive talked at some length with my
friend about his medication, his symptems/side effects, etc. He
currently lives in the UK, but wishes to return to Zimbabwe, but, as
this is the treatment that causes him the least he isn`t sure if he
should. So I still need an answer to my question, so he can decide for
himself.

Thanks

Why would anyone wish to return to Zimbabwe?  The UK is oppressive but
not nearly as oppressive as Zimbabwe, plus they have free health care
and practically advertise for HIV+ Africans to move to Britain to take
advantage of it.

The last news report I read out of Zimbabwe described chronic shortages
of everything, with the dictator's insane price controls combined with
a worthless currency has caused stocks of every conceivable consumer
product to disappear from shelves.  Your friend's life sucks enough as
it is, and like most AIDS patients I know I suspect he is mentally ill
and can't make rational decisions.  A desire to return to Zimbabwe
seems to be almost suicidal, so petition the NHS to commit him to a
psychiatric hospital for his own safety.

maybe he needs to return to his loved ones in zimbabwe.

Nothing is available in Zimbabwe, the result of your glorious dictator's
black rule.  I'm surprised you even have Internet access, so perhaps
you should e-mail Robert Mugabe and ask him to sell a few of his
presidential palaces for cash to buy imported Kivexa and Truvada.  But
he won't, and instead he'll solve the problem by capping the price of
those drugs at Z$45,000,000,000,000,000,000 per pill (US$0.10) to ensure
that loyal Zim citizens like yourself can afford them.

He can get them through a private clinic.
