AIDS group to sue Pfizer over Viagra ads:
Foundation wants No. 1 drugmaker barred from marketing Viagra as
lifestyle drug to enhance sex life.

January 21 2007: 9:32 PM EST

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- A major U.S. AIDS treatment group plans
to file a lawsuit Monday that accuses drug giant Pfizer Inc. of
illegally promoting recreational use of its blockbuster impotence
pill Viagra.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) told Reuters it wants Pfizer
to be barred from marketing Viagra as a lifestyle or sexual
enhancement drug.  The nonprofit organization said Pfizer's
actions had led to risky behavior by men and an increase in HIV
and other sexually transmitted diseases... <snip>

But I have to wonder why the AIDS Healthcare Foundation would really
want to reduce the number of new HIV cases, as it would cause its
executives and general staff to lose their jobs.

Still, the pharmaceutical companies are encouraging use of erection
pills by HIV patients, because not only is it profitable all by
itself, Pfizer et al also make the expensive HIV drugs, making this
particular marketing scenario especially profitable.

My HIV-infected brother said that the doctors at the AIDS clinic had
been prescribing Viagra (at taxpayer expense) but recently stopped
because they were shocked to discover that the AIDS patients were
trading the Viagra pills for crystal meth.  The end result is that the
American taxpayers are paying for the Viagra and crystal meth that
fuels wild gay sex orgies that spread AIDS, by Viagra and crystal
methamphetamine, and Pfizer is laughing all the way to its Swiss bank.

Perhaps Pfizer could develop an anti-self-hatred pill that you could
take, in place of the much-needed therapy we have suggested you engage
in.

Some men find that taking Viagra allows them to have sex with condoms,
whereas without Viagra, attempting to put on a condom causes them to
lose their erection.

It is probably safer for such men to use Viagra, otherwise frustration
may tempt them to have sex without condoms.

Not necessarily..

And that wouldn't be a problem if they were safely locked up in some
maximum-security quarantine colony.  But unfortunately they aren't
locked up and they roam loose and they aren't any more likely to use
condoms after testing HIV positive as before.

The witch doctors at the Las Vegas AIDS Clinic had been prescribing
Viagra for most of the patients because it was covered under the
Ryan White Act, unlike my blood pressure and other vital medications
that I must pay for myself, because my heart isn't as important as
some cracked-out AIDS patient's boner.  I'm not sure why they cared
because they weren't paying for it, but apparently they stopped
writing Viagra prescriptions because the patients were trading it
for crystal meth.  I'm not sure of the exact exchange rate between
meth and Viagra, but I'm sure the free Viagra purchases enough meth
for a wild sex orgy with plenty of Viagra to spare.  Not only do the
American taxpayers have to pay for gay sex & drug orgies, they also
have to pay to treat every new HIV infection resulting from those
orgies.
