I've thought it over and decided to get tested for some obvious and common cancers. Without your advice I'd have wasted all that time and money and been brainwashed about something that doesn't even exist. when you tell them they're HIV+ because a dummy test that mesures only God knows what told you so I know--you're right. With the one difference being that cancer patients who survive don't spend the remainder of their lives giving cancer to others. Also, knowing someone with HIV, I can tell you that nothing is "normal" about your life when you have the virus, and I'm not sure if it is even "life" as we know it or rather some state of animation similar to a zombie. What's even dumber are people who disbelieve confirmed scientific data showing a particular treatment's success rate (e.g. a 57% 5-year survival rate for breast cancer patients treated with Drug X, vs. a 13% survival rate in the untreated group), then choosing to believe anecdotes and rumors that some herbal concoction or magic ion device or whatever can actually cure the same disease. I know someone with AIDS and after he tested positive they went on a low-fat trip, as if lite salad dressing was going to keep him from rotting away like a pound of meat left in the sun.
