That's right. Get tested. Find the state of the disease, start a drug/life regimen that can help you to live a nearly normal life. Kinda like those folks who get cancer, find out they are doomed-if they do nothing. then start a drug/radiation life regimen that can help them lead a nearly normal life. Who knows how many people have done it. I'm going to call it modern medicine.

Yes...  Ok.  I've thought it over and decided to get tested
for some obvious and common cancers. If any of them turn out
positive, then I'll begin an appropriate regimen so that I
can lead a fairly normal life.

With the one difference being that cancer patients who survive don't spend
the remainder of their lives giving cancer to others.  Also, knowing
someone with HIV, I can tell you that nothing is "normal" about your life
when you have the virus, and I'm not sure if it is even "life" as we know
it or rather some state of animation similar to a zombie.  And you'll have
to consider that some people can perform simple math and discover that
you and your fellow AIDS victims aren't worth the million dollars each per
year to keep alive (animated) so as toallow you to continue infecting
others with HIV (who then also require a million dollars a year to keep
animated).

...Find out they are doomed.... I'm going to call it modern medicine.

That's the best definition of medicine today I've ever come across. Tell people they're
doomed if they don't take your poison. And the whole world is begging for it. Ok, now we
must find a definition for 21st century people.

Here's one for starters:
21st century people who believe docters who tell them they're doomed and go for chemo the
same docters make a fortune with and that makes them feel hundred times worse than before
treatment: dumbest sheep in the world.

What's even dumber are people who disbelieve confirmed scientific data
showing a particular treatment's success rate (e.g. a 57% 5-year
survival rate for breast cancer patients treated with Drug X, vs. a
13% survival rate in the untreated group), then choosing to believe
anecdotes and rumors that some herbal concoction or magic ion device
or whatever can actually cure the same disease.

I'm not sure what you were getting at, are you claiming that cancer
and HIV don't exist at all (and thus don't need to be treated with
expensive drugs), or that the drugs don't work and the diseases can
be treated with "alternative" methods?

Yeah. confirmed by whom? By the manufacturor and his lackeys.

Le'ts hope that he also consumes plenty of those "essential fatty
acids" and avoids saturated fatty acids.

I know someone with AIDS and after he tested positive they went
on a low-fat trip, as if lite salad dressing was going to keep
him from rotting away like a pound of meat left in the sun.  But
while fat is so bad, he considers crystal meth to be a vitamin.
