I missed it, but on Sunday there was some "AIDS Walk" in San Francisco
that they've been hyping all year.  Propaganda posters around the city
featured the catchy slogan "changing the course of the epidemic," but
in the 24 hours since the walk began I haven't seen any difference.

How long will it take for the course of the epidemic to change after
the walk ends?  How long will it take for the cure to be finished, and
how can it take so long considering that several thousand people walked
10 miles to invent it?  And why were the participants so selfish as to
limit their effort to just one disease?  Had they walked another 10 miles
they could have found a cure for malaria, too.
