What exactly is the purpose of keeping one million people alive and collecting disability checks and expensive medical benefits so they can infect millions of more people who will also require disability checks and expensive medical benefits? In fact, I notice that the media and even scientific journals avoid this subject like the plague. Scattered reports claim that the ARVs drop the viral level so low as to make the person almost non- infectious, yet I'm not aware of any formal study that shows that partners of HIV+ patients taking ARVs have a lower incidence of infections. Worse, the HIV patient may believe he is not infectious and dispense with both condom and partner notification (though even before ARVs they didn't care enough to do either). Telling someone is HIV+ after a dummy test and then feed him AZT and the like does the job perfectly. From my perspective, you helped kill David Pasquarelli with your denialist nonsense. By contrast, not all HIV+ people are "fed AZT" and even when people do use AZT, it doesn't kill them. To the contrary, people may take several antiviral drugs, based on their clinical condition and the number of CD4 cells (and/or percentage). This prevents opportunistic infections from developing. When people do NOT have access to ARV, including AZT if needed, they wind up developing OIs. And dying. Like David Pasquarelli. Put everybody on ARV and ARV will save 1,500,000,000 life-years during any five years span in US only. AIDS sience: greatest human progress of all times. Why was AIDS not discovered before 1981? On the HIV causes AIDS side, we can say a tube of blood from an HIV+ person has lots of HIV in it. Perhaps for timeliness, we can use a virus that is an X4-receptor utilizing HIV. Thank heavens every other diagnostic test works 100% of the time and are all completely infallible. It's only the HIV test that has problems! Wow. The list is filled with brilliant commentary today!
