Going to the hospital can be a very traumatic experience for children
and adults alike.

We go to the hospital to get well or to determine a diagnosis.

Hospital populations are growing yet in many areas staffing is being
reduced

Each one of us needs to educate ourselves on how to stay well during
our hospital stay

Discover methods that will help you Get In - Get Out - Get On with your
life

Have you ever had an I.V.? An I.V. is where a needle or certain type of
line is inserted into your veins to deliver the medications or life
saving fluids needed to sustain or get you well.

Yet an I.V. can be a source for infections

Infections that can cause you pain, increase your hospital stay or even
kill

Preventing infections is key to your survival in the hospital.

Many infections can be prevented so it becomes imperative to arm
yourself with knowledge. Knowledge to recognise danger signs so that
you can take action

Help your healthcare providers. Become part of the TEAM that will get
you in and out of the hospital safely so that you can get back to the
things in life that mean the most.

Not if you're a Kaiser member.  "We" go to the hospital to become well
enough to be at home to recover.
