Sir/Madam,

Celia Farber's article in your March issue is a
travesty of errors, lies, and, worst of all,
regurgitation of flawed AP reporting and Ms. Farber's
own previous screeds embracing AIDS denialism.

Where is the reporting?  Where is the fact checking?

I find it incomprehensible that in the main text of
10,000 word article on AIDS, Farber quotes not a
single person with HIV/AIDS (with or without personal
experience with anti-HIV drugs), AIDS researcher, or
AIDS physician.

Jonathan Fishbein, Peter Duesberg, Richard Strohman,
David Rasnick, Harvey Bialy and Kary Mullis comprise a
good part of the "Murderer's Row" quoted ad nauseum by
AIDS denialists. To my knowledge, none of them have
direct experience with studying the HIV virus or
treating AIDS patients.  Ignoring mainstream voices --
or relegating them to footnotes -- is dirty pool. How
did you let this happen?

To Farber and her mob, discussing the AIDS "debate" is
some kind of parlor game.  Meanwhile, the denialist
viewpoint holds sway in South Africa and elsewhere,
where people forgo proven therapies and spend their
meager resources on denialist-peddled vitamin therapy,
and worse.  People die because of denialist nonsense.

You no longer have the moral standing to hold a forum
to debate the impeachment of George Bush.  Bush at
least showed a passing interest in helping people with
AIDS.  Your (once great) magazine has spit in their
faces.

I'll save the Denialists the trouble and present their best arguments.

a) You're all pharmaceutical shills

b) The whole HIV/AIDS paradigm is about to tumble down like a house of
cards

c) Your website just demonstrates how scared you are of the truth
