No. Anyway, I quickly browsed their site while avoiding reading their
philosophy for fear of a brainwash virus planted in it, but it seems to
be a variety of Scientology, not connected with that particular cult at
all but offering the same bunch of pseudoscientific newagey feel good
crap. I must admit I was suprised it was only $2300 for the entire
course series and $140 for all the books and tapes, so unless there are
more materials not listed Avatar is a bargain compared to Scientology.
Unfortunately, neither cult cures HIV.

There are more courses. Actually you have have spend another $10,500
(minimum) to get to the Wizards level where you learn to hypnotically
exorcise the entities that cause AIDS and cancer. Yes, it's a knockoff
of OT III and NOTS, but it is still cheaper and just as ineffective.

Hairy Palmer's 'Avatar' and 'Star's Edge' hockum is an offshoot of
Scientology, and, yes, it's far less expensive, at least on the surface.
Of course, like all such offshoots, it *can* be very expensive,
especially for those suckered into signing up to themselves 'deliver'
the processes. Typical multi-level-marketing; sucker the chumps in by
telling them they can get on the bandwagon.
On another level, 'Avatar' is much less a 'political' organization, and
doesn't operate on the principle that it must take over the world, so,
it gets by without an in-house gestapo like OSA, and generally avoids
attacking society as a whole.
Therefore, its abuse is almost strictly limited to 'members'. So, all in
all, less of a social canker than Scientology, but still highly
exploitive and abusive to those 'inside'.

Star's Edge (Avatar) is a for-profit org run by a faux non-degreed,
unlicensed "psychologist" that mainly attacks society for income. It's
geared toward financial multilevel incest, sucking as much money out of
as few people as possible and sending it upline. But it promises
"miracle cures" and so forth, and it does insidiously brainwash the
sh.t out of people. For more details, see alt.clearing.avatar. Or just
read the petition and sign it, and I'll let you off the hook, OK?

Stupidology and Blathertar. Line up suckers and get
out your wallets.
I know Stupidology has left a long string
of deaths behind it, people who substitute "auditing"
for adequate medical care. Hopefully Blathertar
does not have as bad a record in that regard.
