Well, since your being stupid, let me repeat: diabetes is well understood
to be a lifestyle disease - if only due to the choice of the individual not
to comply with the required medical interventions (e.g. dietary, insulin,
etc).

     diagnostic testing, why is the incidence of type 2 diabetes rising?
     Three primary risk factors for type 2 diabetes are well established
     genes, obesity, and activity."

Oops - looks like lifestyle has a whole lot to do with diabetes.

And since genes are passed through sex ...
