Why the very notion of "HIV" is ridiculous.

This is from the AIDS Myth Exposed newsgroup:

I can't say any better than what the Perth Group have said.

http://www.theperthgroup.com/FAQ/question3.html

The real issue here is if these images are proof of 'HIV' (which
they're not), why is it that these particles aren't found in the
density gradients that are claimed to be 'purified' virus? That's where
it's really important. That just finding particles in a cell culture,
or even in a density gradient, is not proof they are retroviral one
need only realize that Gallo in the mid 70's found particles in the
density gradients of 'HL23V'. This was supposed to have been the
'first' human retrovirus, one he even developed an antibody test for.
And one which later proved to be non-existent.

Here is a clip from the interview with the Perth Group by Christine
Johnson in which they discuss this:

"EPE: By 1984 Gallo had already spent more than a decade researching
retroviruses and cancer. He was one of the many virologists caught up
in President Nixon's decade of war against cancer. In the mid 1970s
Gallo claimed to have discovered the first human retrovirus in patients
with leukaemia. He claimed his data proved the existence of a
retrovirus which he called HL23V.(11,21) Now, just like he would later
do for HIV, Gallo used antibody reactions to "prove" which proteins in
the cultures were viral proteins. And not long afterwards others
claimed to have found the same antibodies in many people who did not
have leukaemia. However, a few years after that these same antibodies
were shown to occur naturally and be directed against many substances
that had nothing to do with retroviruses.(22,23) Then it was realised
that HL23V was a big mistake. There was no HL23V retrovirus. So the
Gallo data turned out to be an embarrassment and HL23V is now extinct.
What's interesting for us though is that the evidence used to claim
proof of the existence of HL23V is the same kind of evidence said to
prove the existence of HIV. In fact the evidence for HL23V was better
than HIV.

CJ: Better in what way?

EPE: Well, unlike HIV, Gallo found reverse transcriptase in fresh
tissue. Without having to do cultures. And he published an EM of
density gradient material present at 1.16 gm/ml."

If you would like to see a picture of 'HL23V' budding from a cell
membrane, please go here
[http://www.pubmedcentral.gov/pagerender.fcgi?artid=433154&pageindex=4].

Notice the image at the bottom showing a 'viral particle' budding from
a cell membrane. Given that HL23V is a defunct, non-existent virus; one
that Gallo actually developed an antibody test to; does this image
prove the existence of this 'virus'?

With regard to the use of 'HIV' to light up cancer cells, if there is
so much 'virus' swimming around in people such that one can 'stand back
and watch' it infest cells, why can't anyone actually find all these
particles in fresh, unculture HUMAN blood?

Feh. These dipshits know about as much about viral isolation as you do
about PUFAs.

Fine, then I'm sure you'll do us all the favor and explain exactly
where they are wrong.

Also, if you choose to take me up on my version of the "Duesberg
challenge," I'd like to know exactly how you will isolate "pure virus."
Please let us know.  It will be entertaining, at the very least, even
if you realize that you will be paying me for decades if you take me up
on my offer, and thus avoid addressing why people like yourself
challange Duesberg, but then when someone who also has a Ph.D. wishes
to take you up on it, though with the rider that you will pay them
whatever the BigPharma crooks are charging for the "cocktail," you run
for the proverbial hills.

We are waiting...

I have in the past. You have clearly been too stupid to understand the
explanation so I give up on ya.

Duesberg, according to some of your own denialists, is an idiot
because he thinks HIV has been shown to exist. Of course, I think he
is an idiot because he says silly crap like "it induces antibodies so
you're cured" kinda nonsense.

And as to his PhD? Letters after a name do not mean omniscence. By
contrast, I could list MANY MD/PhD types who recognize HIV exists and
causes AIDS. And that fish oils are good for ya.

Maybe you need to eat more fish.
