Thanks, Death! It would be quicker, and it would spare the taxpayers the
expense of idiots in the near future wondering whether they should get
involved with the now-HIV+ moron who wrote this.
I wonder about the left. For example, they are so quick to label women
who love woman abusers as "mentally-ill" and are so quick to seek out
the law to protect such women from their stupid choices, but naturally
the same idea applied to HIV-/HIV+ relationships is hateful and bigoted.
Even a "verbal assault" is enough to land a partner in jail for on
domestic violence charges but a "biological weapon assault" not only
means no jail, but actually a parade down Main Street in his honor.

It would indeed be crazy, if that were the case,
but thanks for playing.

Man Sprays Nurses With HIV-Infected Blood
POSTED: 12:55 pm EDT August 12, 2005
A patient at a Tacoma, Wash., hospital is in police custody Friday for allegedly spraying
nurses with his HIV-infected blood when he became angry with them, according to a Local 6 News
report.
Witnesses said the man pulled the I-V out of his arm and sprayed several nurses with his
infected blood.
Nurses at Tacoma General Hospital said a man showed up at the hospital Thursday and became
combative while having an IV changed.
The man, who was not identified in the report, then allegedly pulled the IV out of his arm and
sprayed several nurses with his infected blood.
Hospital officials said the man's blood landed on at least one nurse.
Tacoma police arrested the man after the incident.
"With the seriousness that blood did come in contact with her, and he's aware of the danger of
this, that's going to bump up the charges much more serious," Tacoma police spokesman Tracy
Conaway said.

It is interesting that there is no Channel 6 in either Seattle or
Tacoma; the only Channel 6 in the state of Washington is in Spokane.
Would you like to provide a more specific citation for this story?

Yes as a resident of Washington State this is the first I've heard of this
story so I would doubt it actually happened.
Nor does the Washington state law regarding HIV transmission make such an
act a crime. The patient might be charged under some other part of the penal
code but would not be charged under the specific law regarding HIV
transmission. In that the chance of transmitting HIV via spraying infected
blood on to some ones skin is so low as to be effectively zero the law never
addressed this type of scenario. I find it very hard to believe that health
care workers would work directly with patients with uncovered open wounds on
there own body.

Kewl, but then no one said there was. Tacoma is where
this happened.

OK, your point is?

An erroneous inference on my part. And it appears that at least one
(some?) of the Seattle TV stations have finally picked up the story.
Although one still wonders why an outpatient is walking around with an
IV which he would come in to have changed and why simply removing an IV
would allow that patient to "spray" blood around the room.

Perhaps you could tune in CNN which was reporting the story as of the
last hour or two (Aug. 08 around 09:00 PDT).

Yeah, I just saw it on CNN this morning and was shocked that they would
actually define it as an "assault." I'm anticipating the usual defense
of his actions by certain people on this newsgroup, that what he did
wasn't criminal but blah blah blah and that the nurses should have taken
more precautions and blah blah blah and that the man is the real victim
in this case and that we need to be more sensitive and blah blah blah.
I'm also anticipating that the nurses he sprayed with his HIV+ blood
will be "counseled" that there is "little or no risk" of being infected.
Perhaps the hospital will discipline or even fire them for hurting his
feelings when they screamed in horror as his infected blood hit them.

Indeed, I too was waiting for the whine to begin.
Not so much against what was done, but that I
had the nerve to post it. Bigot blah blah blah, lol.

The intent is the game at hand. That it may not have caused harm
is irrelevant.
In his perverted mind he was going to use aids as a weapon to assault...
and did.

And he should not pass go but go straight to jail.
