Denying the Antecedent
http://www.datanation.com/fallacies/deny.htm

Definition:
Any argument of the following form is invalid:
If A then B
Not A
Therefore, Not B

Examples:
(i) If you get hit by a car when you are six then you will die
young. But you were not hit by a car when you were six.
Thus you will not die young. (Of course, you could be hit by
a train at age seven, in which case you still die young.)

(ii) If I am in Calgary then I am in Alberta. I am not in
Calgary, thus, I am not in Alberta.

Proof:
Show that even though the premises are true, the conclusion
may be false. In particular, show that the consequence B may
occur even though A does not occur.

Another example.

Everyone who has 'AIDS' has had sex

therefore sex causes AIDS.

This is clearly flawed logic but remains the core of the 'HIV/AIDS
hypothesis.

The same logic was used for over two hundred years with Scuuvy.

Sailors got scurvy (mainly).

Sailors had homosexual sex and lots of prostitutes.

Therefore sex caused scurvy.

The REAL cause of scurvy was discovered in 1747 by James Lind but the STD
myth persisted until as late as 1920.

'AIDS' as a myth is not a new thing but a repeat of old history.

"but for many years afterwards there was still much ignorance about the
cause of scurvy and lack of understanding about how to prevent it."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scurvy

"In 1748 Lind left the Royal Navy to pursue a career in medicine. He
continued his work on scurvy and in, 1753 he published what is now a
classic of medical literature, A Treatise of the Scurvy. In this book he
wrote, "Experience indeed sufficiently shows, that as greens or fresh
vegetables with ripe fruits, are the best remedies for it, so they prove
the most effective preservative against it." The Admiralty was aware of
this book and Dr. Lind's conclusions, but they did not act upon it."

They laughed at him and insisted scurvy was an std. Sound like something
else that is in the news today?

Could Dr. Lind and Dr. Duseberg have something in common?

Nobody ever said that! Wow, you're mixed up.

No it isn't.

You followed up an article about denying the antecedent with "another
example" which is, in fact, not an example of denying the antecedent.
Thank you for this excellent demonstration of your inability to
understand basic logic.
