This, in essence, is GM Carter's response to ALL the posts about drugs
company corruption and lies about their products, posted below.

Mr. Carter agrees they are vile and corrupt but still says we should trust
and use their products.

I ask you, is it logical to trust the products and the claims made about
their safety, when you know the entity making those claims is NOT TO BE
TRUSTED IN ANY REGARD?

You decide.

Posted below what?

Incorrect. The upper management is vile and corrupt. PART of the
reason they are able to manage their corruption is that they have
products that actually work.

Then they hide behind patent law to screw people on the prices.

DO NOT trust them entirely. They downplay side effects. They over-hype
certain high-profit drugs (e.g., statins).

That is your premise, of course. If that simple-minded premise guides
your life, your a bit dull.

Indeed, there are a lot of really DECENT people working in the
pharmaceutical industry.  Most of the best I've known actually work in
the labs on developing new drugs and treatments.

Which means that there are ways to manage and rein in the corruption
of industry if there were the political will.

Indeed.

Agreed. I  met a very nice woman who worked for a drugs company. She had
been cleaning their floors for over ten years.

Some very DECENT people worked for Hitler. They loved their children and
were kind to dogs.

They also killed people like their modern counterparts in Glaxco.
