FROM A RELIGIOUS PURITAN FANATICS SITE

ROCKS STAR WHO DIED OF AIDS: -    4 (In 23 years)

Freddie    Mercury    Queen    91-11-24    45    Aids
David    Mankaba    Bhundu Boys    91-10-..         Aids
Fela    Kuti         97-08-02    58    Aids
Sean    Hayes         95-07-12    49    Aids

Four (mainly obscure) 'rock stars in twenty years. There have been more
than 25,000 rock groups over that period in America with an average of
four members each.

That gives a figure (if you even believe they really died of 'AIDS') of 4
in 100,000.

The U.S. national average is 6 per 100,000 meaning that this highly
sexually active as far lower 'AIDS' than the national average.

FAR LOWER.

So much for 'AIDS' being an std.

_______

PORN STARS
http://www.rame.net/faq/deadporn/

JUST ONE SINGLE FEMALE PORN STAR IN 23 YEARS.

In that time there have been at least 50,000 American female porn
actresses.

That means a 2. per 100,000 rate. THREE TIMES LOWER THAN THE NATIONAL
AVERAGE.

Odd that people who have thousands of sex acts with hundreds and hundreds
of partners have a tiny fraction of the 'AIDS' compared to the general
population.

How many male Porn stars Paul?

Gary Stein
PaulKing - 02 Mar 2005 02:22 GMT
Fifteen or so. Nearly all gay.

As anyone who is gay and a porn star will automatically be called 'high
risk' (and whatever they are suffering from labeled 'AIDS) that is hardly
surprising.

Even 15 is hardly above the national average.
dsaklad@zurich.csail.mit.edu - 02 Mar 2005 05:15 GMT
Didn't you claim there were NONE?

And do we know how many died from other causes, like
drug overdoses, suicides, car crashes, that might have
died from AIDs had they lived longer?

And does anybody know what all other known rock stars
dies from?  And how many years are we talking about?

We would need the records for rock stars over the
last hundred years to determine any real figures about
causes of death.  Oh, so you are saying rock stars are
a relatively new phenomenon, so many of them are still
less than average life span.  How silly not to take
     that into account!

"that might have died from AIDS had they lived longer?"

You really are a touch insane. So why did the thousands who did not die in
car crashes not get so called 'AIDS'?

Do you really believe the garbage you post. I fear so.

P.S. Freddy was a Poppers freak and the other I have not even heard of
(hardly rock stars). The fact remains that this highly sexually active
bunch with their thousands of groupies have far, far BELOW average
'AIDS'.

Explain that.

I could find NOTHING on Sean Hayes

So we have one heart failure, one Poppers addict (Freddy Mercury) and one
very obscure musician in South Africa left.

A total of two that could even possibly be called 'AIDS'.

Pathetic

Hardly an impressive list for over twenty years taken world wide.

As I said Rock Stars don't get so called 'AIDS'.

Obscure indeed.  I've only ever heard of one of them.  Or maybe two...

A count of the number of rock bands that have existed in a 23 year
period would include bands that existed for far less than the whole
23 years, bands unknown outside of the one or a few cities where they
played, bands that never got played on the air, bands that never cut
a record.  Most members of most rock bands, if they died of AIDS,
would not be included in any list of rock stars who had died of AIDS.

When you multiply the number of bands by their average membership,
you count everybody who has been in more than one band once for each
band he or she has been in.

If you were calculating the rate of AIDS deaths among movie stars,
you wouldn't include the extras from crowd scenes in your divisor.
You wouldn't count each extra once for each movie he or she appeared
in.

Actually, *you* probably would.

But honest people wouldn't.

If these people found David    Mankaba, Fela    Kuti    (who actually died of 'heart
failure)and Sean    Hayes (who I could find nothing about re cause of death)
they sure did a thorough job of research.

Your attempt to evade the truth is as pathetic as usual.

Any 'rock star' of the slightest note would be publicized to the four
winds if they were said to have died of 'AIDS' , as you well know.

When you examine the so called 'AIDS' deaths closely what you find is
mainly deaths from 'AIDS' medications (liver failure, heart failure)
and that ONLY gay male porn stars are said to have died of 'AIDS'.

The rock scene only has had three cases of 'AIDS' and they are al gay
males.

Conclusive proof that 'AIDS' is not an std unless you believe in an std
that ONLY attacks gay men who take drugs (Poppers) and live in urban
areas.

Even the numbers of gay male porn stars when spread over twenty plus years
is tiny and only a bit above the national average.

That puts the low 'AIDS' figures in perspective.

According to the article by Chido Nwangwu in USAfrica ONLINE, he died on
Saturday August 2, 1997 after several weeks of illness at the age of 58.
"

The immediate cause of death of Fela was heart failure but there were many
complications arising from the Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome.

The same old B.S. Liver failure and heart failure being called 'AIDS".

U.N.: AIDS May Kill 80M Africans by 2025
By ANTHONY MITCHELL, Associated Press Writer
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) --

More than 80 million Africans may die from AIDS by 2025, the United Nations
said in a report released Friday, and infections could soar to 90 million -
or more than 10 percent of the continent's population - if more isn't done
soon to fight the disease.

More than 25 million African have been infected with HIV, the virus that
causes AIDS. UNAIDS estimated that nearly $200 billion is needed to save 16
million people from death and 43 million people from becoming infected, but
donors have pledged nowhere near that amount.

In its report, "AIDS in Africa," the U.N. agency examines three potential
scenarios for the continent in the next 20 years depending on the
international community's response.

Researchers determined that even with massive funding and better treatment,
the number of Africans who will die from AIDS is likely to top 67 million in
the next two decades.

"What we do today will change the future," concluded the report, drawn up by
some of the world's leading experts on HIV and AIDS. "These scenarios
demonstrate that, while societies will have to deal with AIDS for some time
to come, the extent of the epidemic's impact will depend on the responses
and investment now."

The three scenarios include a best-case situation, a middle-case and a
doomsday scenario. They all warn that the worst of the epidemic's impact is
still to come.

"There is no single policy prescription that will change the outcome of the
epidemic," the report stated. "The death toll will continue to rise no
matter what is done."

Under the worst-case scenario, experts have plotted current policies and
funding over the next two decades.

"It offers a disturbing window on the future death toll across the
continent, with the cumulative number of people dying from AIDS increasing
more than fourfold," it says. "The number of children orphaned by the
epidemic will continue to rise beyond 2025."

While there is no cure for HIV or AIDS, anti-retroviral drugs can allow
sufferers to live a normal life. Such drugs, though, are too expensive for
most Africans, who live on less than a dollar a day and don't have access to
modern health care.

Experts have said donors' money needs to be spent to train more health
workers, develop better clinics and subsidize medications as well as promote
more prevention programs.

AIDS already has a devastating impact on Africa.

UNAIDS has reported that life expectancy in nine countries has dropped to
below 40 because of the disease. There are already 11 million orphans
because of AIDS, while 6,500 people are dying each day. In 2004, 3.1 million
Africans were newly infected, the agency said.

"If by 2025, millions of African people are still becoming infected with HIV
each year, these scenarios suggest that it will not be because there was no
choice," the report said. "It will be because, collectively, there was
insufficient political will to change behavior at all levels, from the
institution, to the community, to the individual, and halt the forces
driving the AIDS epidemic in Africa."

Hundreds of experts and people living with the virus helped draw up the
report.

They can't even tell you how many Africans died of AIDS last year,
let alone 20 years from now.

Talk about the blatant abuse of statistics.

Well said Alex.
Alex - 06 Mar 2005 17:46 GMT
> Well said Alex.

Thanks Paul.

And what's more - consider the source. Peter Piot
and UNAIDS do not have a good track record
of predicting anything about Africa.

Look at their failure to predict the future of Uganda,
22 years ago. They said that Uganda had huge HIV
infection rates (30%? 33%?).
Uganda has the highest population growth in the world,
as far as I can see - well over 3% per year.

And now, they have come out with a statement that
a lethal disease like AIDS actually DOES lower
fertility... The only logical conclusion of that can be,
that Uganda never had a lethal HIV epidemic
to begin with.
