Can anyone please recommend a  moist-heat heating pad for the knee?

Thanks Patrick

Dear Patrick,

Never heat.  Use ice pack wrapped with a cloth for twenty minutes on,
one hour off and repeat this until pain or inflammation subside.
Repeat as needed.

Thanks George, but my MD wanted 10 moist-heat, 5 minute rest, 10 minute ice
and to do this 3 times.

**  While your M.D. may have been taught this since it relieves pain
for a short time, it does not promote healing by reducing inflammation.
This back and forth with the heat and ice routine slows healing.

hi, unless this has to do with hiv/aids (the topic of this group, not
health-aids) you might have better luck and obtain better answers
posting in a rehab, sports, or orthopedic group.

Sorry.

No problem Paddy. If this board was really about 'AIDS' it would not exist
as there is no such syndrome.

The topic of this board really is devoted to puritan myths and terror
campaigns.

Your knees make a welcome break.

nothing to be sorry about, it's a common misconception because of the
group's name.  just trying to point you in the direction you might need;
if you have a knee injury you may need more than just a heating pad.
