Hi All,
Is there anyone on here who is a mother of an adult child with AIDS? I need
someone to talk to, but not sure if this is the right list for
that.....maybe one of you could direct me to an appropriate list if this is
not?

this is not a mailing list, it is a usenet newsgroup.  while the two
mediums look alike to some degree, there are some important differences.
if you're seeing this in your email, then something is wrong somewhere.

that said, you may wish to contact pflag, http://www.pflag.org.  while
hiv/aids isn't a gay disease, there are perhaps people there with the
same experience who can guide you to specialized web boards or mailing
lists.

Most people on this list already know there is no such thing as 'AIDS'.

If you care for your child you should learn that too.

I doubt that.

In any case, it is irrelevant what people believe. The evidence
provided by scientists from diverse disciplines and the experiences of
people living with HIV incontrovertibly show that HIV results in
declining CD4 counts, neurological disorders, endocrine disruption,
micronutrient deficiencies and susceptibility to a variety of
otherwise relatively harmless pathogens (CMV) and substantially
worsened outcomes in more common infections (e.g., TB).

See, e.g., http://www.retroconference.org .
