WOW! Indeed!

As I read the article I wondered if Backster's discovery is nothing
more than the idea of communicating beyond the body, an idea from the
Course (A Course In Miracles), or the idea of prayer from Mary Baker
Eddy's Science and Health.  So when he made the connection to
spirituality, I discovered yet another aspect of the prayer of the
heart (the Course), which for me is best captured in Joseph Murphy's
The Power of Your Subconscious Mind (the subconscious is a topic in the
article).  As I read on I saw Carl Jung's collective unconscious and
synchronicity in action.

I rather suspect that if we could wire sick bodies that are prayed for,
we'd get the same plant respond that Backster discovered.  Take for
example Dr. E.F. Berton's case, a medical doctor on opium therapy for
T.B. on his death bed - opium was not known to be an addictive drug at
that time.  When he was about to be sent to an asylum to die, his wife
turned to a Christian Science practitioner as a last resort, such that
the night before his transfer to the asylum a Christian Science
practitioner prayer over her husband.  The practitioner prayer over
Berton for three hours, within the first hour he fell asleep.  And the
next morning when he awoke, he declared himself healed.  And he was.

It would be a break through if Backster's research could explain in
scientific terms phenomenon such as bone reconstruction.  Take for
example "Vittorio Michelli'scase in Creating Miracles by Carolyn Miller
(88) and Wayne L. Bart (213) story in A Century of Christian Science
Healing.  For Vittorio his cancer eaten hip bone was reconstructed and
for Bart, it was a missing lower arm part that was re-constructed.

It seems to me that it all boils down to the idea of mind over matter.
In terms of the Course and Mary Baker Eddy - sickness is of the mind.
Such that FEAR and LOVE are key ideas.

wheni was at deepak chopra center during a event. he told or one of the
guest i cannot remmember about such a thing.

the placed a cell from a person, miles away and they could test it
response. just like you  told!
