I am really annoyed at the lack of fact used by most companies selling
Magnetic Therapy products. The unit of magnetism is GAUSS. Make sure the
magnets are strong enough to do something. You need 1000 Gauss on the
surface to be effective. Most magnets sold these days are so weak they do
not do anything and certainly not strong enough to give any benefit through
lambswool underlays!!
Magnets with 1000 gauss on the inside have a surface gauss of not much more
than a fridge magnet.

BEWARE!

Beware of 'ALL MAGNETIC THERAPY' claims the are all frauds.

A simple way to understand why they are frauds and why the message bellow is
also intentionally misleading is this.

When the MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machines were under development as
diagnostic imaging systems a great deal of research had to be done on the
effects of magnetic fields on the human body. Why is that you ask, well if
it is because the strength of the magnetic field used by MRI machines was
orders of magnitude higher then what large numbers of humans had ever been
exposed to previously. Some workers in electrical generation plants and
other industrial workers had been exposed to strong magnetic fields but most
of those exposures were to fields less intense then the MRI produces.

What did they find, well they discovered that there was no effect what so
ever positive or negative on the human body and it's systems due to exposer
to MRI's. So there you have it tens of thousands of people undergo MRI's in
the US alone each year and if there was any truth to the idea of magnetic
therapy having the ability to cure disease, reduce pain, increase mental
abilities etc etc it most certainly would be very well documented yet there
is no such documentation. The body seems to be completely indifferent to
even very strong magnetic fields such as those produced by MRI machines.

So no magnetic device that you can purchase for a few hundred dollars can
possibly produce a magnetic field more powerful then that produced by an MRI
machine (unless your spending $100,000 or more on your magnetic therapy
device).

Yeah, but I always stick to the fridge for a day or two after one...
