This does not say that condoms are the cause of the cancer at all.
Once again, you are lying.

Studies of heterosexual HIV transmission have consistently found anal
intercourse to be a highly predictive risk factor for seroconversion.
Yet most AIDS prevention messages targeted at heterosexuals,
presumably influenced by cultural taboos against acknowledging this
sexual practice, continue to emphasize vaginal and, increasingly, oral
sex transmission. The health risks of anal sex appear to be severely
underestimated by a substantial proportion of sexually active women
and men in North and Latin America as well as parts of South Asia,
Africa, and other regions. Among heterosexuals reported rates of
condom use are nearly universally lower for anal than for vaginal
intercourse. This review examines anal sex among the general
population, including its prevalence in various world regions, related
sociocultural factors, and other associated health problems including
anorectal STDs, Hepatitis B infection, and HPV-related anal cancer in
women. U.S. survey and other data suggest that, in terms of absolute
numbers, approximately seven times more women than homosexual men
engage in unprotected receptive anal intercourse. Research among
higher risk subpopulations, including bisexual men, injecting drug
users, female sex workers, inner-city adolescents, and serodiscordant
heterosexual couples, indicates that persons particularly at risk of
being infected by or transmitting HIV are also more likely to practice
anal sex. Considering this finding, along with the much greater
efficiency for HIV infection as well as lower rates of condom usage, a
significant proportion of heterosexual transmission in some
populations is due to anal intercourse. This typically stigmatized and
hidden sexual practice must be given greater emphasis in AIDS/STD
prevention, women's care, and other health promotion programs.

I never said it did. However, what else could be the cause?

We know that condoms contain powerful carcinogens and absorbtion through
rectal tissue is 200 greater than through something like one's hands.

It does not take much to see the connection....except for you.

The full abstract says nothing about Condoms being the cause. To the
contrary, the evidence suggests that anal warts, caused by human
papillomaviruses (e.g., 16) predispose individuals to developing
rectal cancer.

Jonathan StC. Anderson; Claire Vajdic; Andrew E. Grulich Is screening
for anal cancer warranted in homosexual men?  Sexual Health    24
September 2004, vol. 1, no. 3,   pp. 137-140(4),

Abstract:
Some investigators have proposed screening homosexual men for anal
cancer and its probable precursor, high grade anal intraepithelial
neoplasia (AIN). Using widely accepted criteria for the introduction
of screening programmes, this paper reviews the current evidence for
screening for this condition in this high risk population and
highlights areas where additional research is required.  While it is
accepted that the incidence of anal cancer is at least 20 times higher
in homosexual men than the general population, the natural history of
anal cancer and its precise relationship with AIN is not clearly
understood. Anal intraepithelial neoplasia is a very highly prevalent
disease among homosexual men, but little is known about what predicts
progression to invasive disease. The screening tests, exfoliate
cytology and high resolution anoscopy, have a sensitivity of between
45 and 70%. Treatment options for AIN are limited by morbidity and
high recurrence rates and there are no randomised controlled trials
studying the efficacy of therapeutic agents or surgery for high grade
AIN, although immunotherapies show very early promise. Theoretically,
early detection may lead to better treatment outcomes. Studies of the
potential negative consequences of screening programmes on the
homosexual population are needed. The currently available data does
not support the implementation of a screening programme for AIN and
anal cancer in homosexual men in Australia.

EXTRACT

* Benzene exposure also occurs from using condoms
How can benzene affect my health?
Breathing very high levels of benzene can result in death, while high
levels can cause drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heart rate, headaches,
tremors, confusion, and unconsciousness. Eating or drinking foods
containing high levels of benzene can cause vomiting, irritation of the
stomach, dizziness, sleepiness, convulsions, rapid heart rate, and death.
The major effect of benzene from long-term (365 days or longer) exposure
is on the blood. Benzene causes harmful effects on the bone marrow and can
cause a decrease in red blood cells leading to anaemia. It can also cause
excessive bleeding and can affect the immune system, increasing the chance
for infection.

Some women who breathed high levels of benzene for many months had
irregular menstrual periods and a decrease in the size of their ovaries.
It is not known whether benzene exposure affects the developing foetus in
pregnant women or fertility in men.
Animal studies have shown low birth weights, delayed bone formation, and
bone marrow damage when pregnant animals breathed benzene. Back to Top
How likely is benzene to cause cancer?

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has determined that
benzene is a known human carcinogen. Long-term exposure to high levels of
benzene in the air can cause leukaemia, cancer of the blood-forming
organs.

A MUST READ IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW CONDOMS CAUSE IMMUNE SUPPRESSION

________

Benzene is a known carcinogen that causes Leukemia
Benzene exposure has been linked to all types of Leukemia. However it is
believed to cause the rarer forms including: Acute myelogenous leukemia
(AML) and Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). It is also linked to lymphoma,
and blood diseases.

The exposure levels that have been associated with cancer have ranged from
from less than 5 years to people exposed for more than 30 years. These
workers have died of rare forms of Leukemia. Long-term exposure may also
adversely impact bone marrow and blood production.
Leukemias are malignant diseases that affect the blood and bone marrow.
The four major types of leukemia are:
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML)
Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL)
Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
hairy cell leukemia (HCL)
Scientists have also linked non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), Hodgkin's
disease, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), aplastic
anemia, pancytopenia, cytopenias, myelofibrosis, and polycythemia vera. to
Benzene.
Dangers of Benzene and Science
A number of recent studies and reviews of leukemia and its relationship to
Benzene exposure have been published. Researchers at the University of
North Carolina School of Public Health, concluded that benzene was linked
to many forms of leukemia including acute myelogenous leukemia AML as well
as acute and chronic lymphocytic and myeloid leukemia (Savitz, D., and
Andrews, K.,"Review of Epidemiologic Evidence on Benzene and Lymphatic and
Hematopoietic Cancers," Amer. J. Industrial Health 31:287-295 (1997).
However, Benzene has a long history in the medical literature. As early as
the 1920s, Benzene was linked to leukemia in a published study.
TheAmerican Petroleum Institute noted in the 1940s benzene caused leukemia
noted that any level of exposure to benzene posed risks. A major
epidemiologic study of benzene of exposed workers demonstrated the risks
of leukemia appeared in 1977.
The scientific studies indicate workers who use solvents are at risk of
developing cancer and blood diseases from exposure to benzene.

Potent Carcinogen found in Most Condoms
Recent study has discovered the presence of a very potent carcinogen in
most condoms. Small amounts of this chemical are released whenever condoms
are used.
Nobody knows whether this is serious yet however it is not likely to be
healthy to expose the reproductive organs to cancer-causing substances on
a regular basis.
This is a potentially serious issue for much of the world's population
that cannot afford or access other forms of birth control. I hope further
studies will follow on this soon. Could this be related to the rise in
cancer in women, and men as well?

April 12, 1999
MEMORANDUM FOR: REGIONAL ADMINISTRATORS
THROUGH:
R. DAVIS LAYNE
Deputy Assistant Secretary
FROM:
STEVEN F. WITT
Director
SUBJECT:
Technical Information Bulletin(1):
Potential for Allergy to Natural
Rubber Latex Gloves and other Natural Rubber Products
THIS INFORMATION ALSO APPLIES TO CONDOMS - LASG
Use of natural rubber products may result in several varieties of
reactions (see table). These reactions include irritant and several types
of allergic reactions. They can vary from localized redness and rash to
nasal, sinus, and eye symptoms to asthmatic manifestations including
cough, wheeze, shortness of breath, and chest tightness; and rarely,
systemic reactions with swelling of the face, lips, and airways that may
progress rapidly to shock and, potentially, death.
When gloves are associated with skin lesions, the most common reaction is
irritant contact dermatitis. Irritant contact dermatitis may be due to
direct irritation from gloves or glove powder, but may also be due to
other causes, such as irritation from soaps or detergents, other
chemicals, or incomplete hand drying. Irritant contact dermatitis presents
as dried, cracked, split skin.
Although irritant contact dermatitis is not in itself an allergic
reaction, the breaking of the intact skin barrier due to these lesions may
afford a pathway for latex proteins to gain access, and thus promote
development of allergy.25
The second type of reaction that may be associated with glove use is
allergic contact dermatitis (also known as type IV delayed
hypersensitivity or allergic contact sensitivity). When glove use has been
associated with this reaction, it appears to be due to the chemicals used
in processing NRL or other glove materials. The allergic contact
dermatitis has an appearance similar to the typical poison ivy reaction,
with blistering, itching, crusting, oozing lesions. Also, like poison ivy,
this dermatitis may appear a day or two after the use of gloves or
exposure to other sources of chemical sensitizers.
The third and potentially most serious type of reaction sometimes
associated with glove use is a true IgE/histamine-mediated (also called
immediate or type I hypersensitivity) to glove protein [in the case of NRL
allergy, to NRL protein(s)].
This of reaction can involve local or systemic symptoms. Localized
symptoms include contact urticaria (hives) which appear in the area where
contact occurred (in the case of gloves, the hands), but which can spread
beyond that area and become generalized. More generalized reactions
include allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and asthma.
The presence of allergic manifestations to NRL indicates an increased risk
for anaphylaxis, a rare but serious reaction experienced by some
individuals who have developed an allergy to certain proteins (e.g.,
insect stings, natural rubber, penicillin). This type I reaction can occur
within seconds to minutes of exposure to the allergen (in the case of NRL,
to natural rubber proteins) either by touching a product with the allergen
(e.g., gloves) or by inhaling the allergen (e.g., powder to which natural
rubber proteins from gloves have adsorbed). When such a reaction occurs,
it can progress rapidly from swelling of the lips and airways to shortness
of, and may progress to shock and death, sometimes within minutes.
While any of these signs and symptoms may be the first indication of
allergy, in many workers with continued exposure to the allergen (in the
case of NRL allergy, to natural rubber), there is progression from skin…

________

According to FDA Medwatch data
as far back as June 1996, there were 28 reported deaths and 225
anaphylactic
events associated with latex products in all settings.

Recent reports in the literature indicate
that from about 1 percent to 6 percent of the general population and about

8 percent to 12 percent of regularly exposed health care workers are
sensitized
to latex.

An estimated 17 million Americans are now sensitive to latex ( up from not
one recorded case twenty years
ago).

LOL. You'll believe this bullshit to justify f.cking unsafe based on
virtually no data and ignore the reality of HIV disease. K. I get it.

Not the only question. Another important question is what dosage or
exposure level is necessary to cause cancer. Using condoms for
screwing has a vanishingly low cancer risk, compared to daily-used
items that have more of the chemicals you're so hysterical about.

Gawd, you are such a fuckin' lunatic!!!!!  First off, most gay men do NOT
use condoms, as condoms are a plot by the Bush admistration to ruin their
fun (y'see, HIV does not really exist, it is a rumor spread by evil neocons
to discourage gay sex).  Second, any sort of irritation of tissue can
damage DNA, thus it is not surprising that anal sex causes cancer.  Also,
there are any number of viruses that have been linked to cancer, so it
is not at all surprising that the single group of people that has managed
to rack up the highest rate of STDs of any type is more prone to anal
cancer than the general population.  If anything, the average gay American
man should be thankful that anal cancer is all he got.
